I’m very happy to announce that we’re bringing Amy Glickman Brown (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3341035/) onboard to edit the picture, beginning on June 25. Amy brings 10 years of impressive experience, much of it in documentaries, to the table and learned her craft at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. We’re still right on track to have a completed rough cut of the film by the end of August as I had originally hoped.
I’m still shooting interviews and will be hitting the road in three days to get a few more, with at least one or two additional trips planned in the coming weeks. I’m really hoping to have all the interviews wrapped up by the middle of July at the very latest, but we’ve still got queries out to a number of celebrities, and if one of them comes through later than that, I’ll do everything I possibly can to still fit them into the film.
We’re also beginning the process of legal consultations to make sure we stay on the right side of the law given all the footage of Susan’s fantastic acting and the many pictures of her that we want to use. I can’t imagine doing a documentary about this remarkable woman and not showing what an excellent actress she really was, as well as how popular and extensively-photographed she was in her day.
We’ve continued to receive donations via the PayPal link (see to the right) and I can’t thank our generous donors enough. It seems like there’s always something new coming up that costs us a little more, and every single donation helps make sure we deliver the best possible film with no creative or technical compromises!
And now for today’s image (my Christmas present to myself – kept under wraps until today): I call it “Green Girl Director George Pappy ‘Fully Commits’ to The Project” (There’s no turning back now!)
